In a significant step toward supporting athletes with disabilities, the Assembly of Benefactors for Veterans and Disabled Sports officially commenced its activities during the holy month of Ramadan. The inaugural meeting, held on Monday, March 11, 2024, brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including Dr. Nami, Special Advisor to the Minister of Interior, sports benefactors, members of trade associations, officials from the Veterans and Disabled Sports Federation, and heads of sports associations. National para-athletes in swimming, weightlifting, and javelin throwing were also in attendance.
The event, organized by the IRIDFD, marked the beginning of a collaborative effort to enhance support for para-sports through charitable contributions and community engagement.
